San Manuel came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Superior, but Antonio Lopez wouldn't allow it. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 40-18 margin over the Miners on Friday with plenty of help from Lopez, who threw for 329 yards and four TDs while completing 81.5% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. He is becoming a predictor of Superior's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Superior pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 19 points. As for San Manuel, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Superior is taking a road trip to square off against Ray at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Bearcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last five games. As for San Manuel, they will welcome Duncan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Miners will be up against the Wildkats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.71 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
