Recap: Red Bank Lions vs. Soddy Daisy Trojans

The Red Bank Lions won the last time they faced the Soddy Daisy Trojans, and things went their way on Friday too. Red Bank secured a 48-44 W over Soddy Daisy. Given Red Bank's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Soddy Daisy is ranked 226th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Red Bank's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kendrick Lloyd led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Anthony Bonner, who scored 14 points.

Red Bank pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points per game. As for Soddy Daisy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Bank will take on East Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Hamilton has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 22. As for Soddy Daisy, they will be playing at home against Rhea County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Rhea County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups.
