Basketball Recap: Marysville-Pilchuck Comes Up Short

Marysville-Pilchuck played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 61-18 loss at the hands of the Everett Seagulls. The Tomahawks have struggled against the Seagulls recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Everett's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Parker led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. Parker is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Alex Tserger was another key player, going 7 for 14 on his way to 20 points.

Marysville-Pilchuck's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Everett, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-7.

Marysville-Pilchuck will venture away from home to face off against Stanwood at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Everett, they will face off against Marysville Getchell at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Marysville Getchell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.6 points per game this season.
