Basketball Recap: West Holt Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

If Neligh-Oakdale wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played West Holt, they should've done a better job of containing Lincoln Konrad. The West Holt Huskies blew past the Neligh-Oakdale Warriors 61-26 on Tuesday thanks in part to Konrad, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and five assists. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

Kellen Monasterio was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals. Those three steals gave him a new career-high.

The victory was the third in a row for West Holt, bringing their record for this year to 13-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Neligh-Oakdale, they are on a 30-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

West Holt will take on O'Neill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Holt is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season. As for Neligh-Oakdale, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bloomfield at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th.
