Baseball Recap: Fayetteville Beats Tomball Kings for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Fayetteville extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 12-3 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Tomball Kings Homeschool. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Homeschool back in April, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

Fayetteville's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Chance Konvicka, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

As for Tomball Kings, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-16-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Tomball Kings' side, Steven Mims was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Brennan Zarro was cooking despite his team's loss, earning one run and three stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Owen Wilkins, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Fayetteville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tomball Kings, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bo Porter Academy at 3:00 p.m.
