Volleyball Recap: Plainfield Central Wildcats vs. Moline Maroons        
        
		
             Plainfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat. They fell just short of the Moline Maroons by a score of  2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the  2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2019.
 In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Plainfield Central sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-19, 19-25,  15-9.
  Isabella Ricketts and  Mya Broadway certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss.  Ricketts  had eight  digs and two  aces, while  Broadway  had five  digs.
 Leading Moline to victory were  Mya Johnson and  Zoe Perez.  Johnson  had five  digs and five  aces, while  Perez  had nine  digs. That's the most  aces  Johnson has posted since back in September.
 Plainfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-24. As for Moline, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record  this season.
 Plainfield Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  2-1  victory against Nazareth Academy on the 19th. Moline has also  already played their next contest,  a  2-1  win against York on the 19th.
