Softball Recap: Foundation Academy Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Montverde Academy, Foundation Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Satellite Scorpions by a score of 9-6.

Foundation Academy let Elizabeth Ozim and Norah Ranaudo run wild. Ozim scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Ranaudo scored three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Ranaudo has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Foundation Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Foundation Academy's record is now 11-6. As for Satellite, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-9 record.

Foundation Academy and Satellite should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Lions (ranked 104th) will meet Olympia (ranked 305th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Satellite will face off against Titusville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (190 vs. 476).
