Football Recap: East/World of Inquiry Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

East/World of Inquiry and Brighton squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but East/World of Inquiry had to settle for second. They fell 24-14 to the Bruins. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Although East/World of Inquiry took the loss, they still got scores from Legacy Taylor and Darius Weathers.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed eight in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Weathers, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

East/World of Inquiry's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Brighton, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

East/World of Inquiry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brighton, they will square off against McKinley at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Macks' defense has only allowed 13.7 points per game this season, so the Bruins' offense will have their work cut out for them.
