Baseball Recap: Braden River Victorious

Braden River won the last time they faced Palmetto and things went their way on Friday too. The Braden River Pirates walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Palmetto Tigers.

Nick Curbelo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Braden River let Parker Gabbard and Jacoby Cox run wild. Gabbard scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-4, while Cox scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Cox posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Duffy, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Braden River kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palmetto onlymanaged two hits.

Braden River didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-1 loss against Venice on the 18th. As for Palmetto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Lennard on the 20th.
