Softball Recap: Southeastern's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Southeastern put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Ranburne. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 12-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Emellie Hamilton made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooklynn Davlin, who scored four runs while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Taylor Moon was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double.

Southeastern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Southeastern's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-10. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Ranburne, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.

Southeastern will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
