Their rough 10-2 defeat to Sheridan might stick with them for a while. Circleville has not had much luck with Sheridan recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Fairfield Union waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They skirted past the Panthers 12-11. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Circleville's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Fairfield Union, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Everything went Circleville's way against Fairfield Union in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 as Circleville made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Circleville since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
