Basketball Game Preview: Rittman Indians vs. Norwayne Bobcats

Rittman hasn't had much luck against Norwayne recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rittman Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the Norwayne Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Rittman is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They were outmatched by Aquinas and fell 50-23. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Norwayne's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Perry by a score of 54-51. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bobcats came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Panthers are ranked 213th).

Rittman will need focus on slowing down Braden West, one of several Norwayne players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 14 points and three steals. Parker Metsker was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Rittman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Norwayne, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-2.

Rittman took a serious blow against Norwayne in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 75-25. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Rittman was down 43-14.
