Football Game Preview: Fulshear Chargers vs. Alief Hastings Bears

The Fulshear Chargers will square off against the Alief Hastings Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fulshear knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Alief Hastings likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Fulshear got the win against Alief Taylor by a conclusive 34-11. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Chargers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Lions are ranked 474th).

Meanwhile, Alief Hastings came up short against Alief Elsik on Friday and fell 27-18.

Alief Hastings' loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Fulshear, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Fulshear against Alief Hastings in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 65-27 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Bears' Sincere Nealy, who rushed for 128 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be easier for the Chargers to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
