South Dade waltzed into their match on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Hialeah Gardens Gladiators.

South Dade's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Hialeah Gardens, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
