Riverview and St. Mary Catholic Central are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Pirates will venture away from home to face off against the Falcons/Kestrels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Friday, Riverview made easy work of Flat Rock and carried off a 34-14 victory. With the Pirates ahead 20-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Meanwhile, St. Mary Catholic Central strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past Milan to the tune of 43-0. Given the Falcons/Kestrels' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Big Reds are ranked 418th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Riverview's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for St. Mary Catholic Central, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Riverview ended up a good deal behind St. Mary Catholic Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, losing 34-15. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
