Basketball Recap: Alpaugh Comes Up Short

Alpaugh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Wonderful College Prep Academy Lions 74-28. The Buffalos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wonderful College Prep Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Juan Negrete, who posted 20 points. With that strong performance, Negrete is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Oscar Zarza, who had 15 points.

Alpaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they pushed their record up to 4-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alpaugh will welcome Legacy Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alpaugh is facing Legacy Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Legacy Christian Academy is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kings Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
