Football Recap: Newman International Academy Comes Up Short

Newman International Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Trinity Christian Eagles and fell 44-12. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Newman International Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Trinity Christian, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Newman International Academy will challenge Founders Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Trinity Christian, they will be playing at home against Pantego Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
