Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Sophie Nelson and Kaia Anderson Lead Perham to Victory

With a playoff win on the line, Perham rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Park Rapids Panthers by a score of 61-49. The win continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.

Perham was led to victory by Kaia Anderson and Sophie Nelson. Anderson shot 45% from the field to rack up 24 points, while Nelson posted eight points along with ten assists and five rebounds. Those ten assists gave Nelson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cora Grismer, who earned nine points.

Perham's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Park Rapids, they dropped their record down to 6-20 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Perham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-49 loss against Pelican Rapids on the 28th. Park Rapids does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
