Softball Game Preview: Blissfield Royals vs. Tecumseh Indians

Blissfield hasn't had much luck against Tecumseh recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Royals will host the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Blissfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Blissfield couldn't beat Milan on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Royals fell just short of the Big Reds by a score of 9-8.

Genesis Elliott was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. Brooklyn Fetzer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Tecumseh had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Railsplitters a 5-0 shutout.

Tecumseh's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Blissfield, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Blissfield suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Tecumseh in their previous matchup back in May of 2022. Can the Royals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
