Oak Mountain won the last time they faced Cordova and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles walked away with a 5-1 win over the Blue Devils. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Kelsey Crain looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sheridan Andrews, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February.

Oak Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Oak Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Cordova, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Looking ahead, Oak Mountain will square off against Carbon Hill at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cordova, they will face off against Corner at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last four games the Yellow Jackets have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
