Baseball Recap: Bunker Hill Takes a Loss

Bunker Hill lost to East Lincoln back in April of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bunker Hill saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamden Bortz, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bunker Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for East Lincoln, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bunker Hill will take on Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for East Lincoln, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Lincoln Charter at 7:00 p.m. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
