Volleyball Recap: Valley Center Takes a Loss

Valley Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ramona Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

Valley Center couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Ramona a tough time in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-18, 25-18, 28-30, 15-11.

Valley Center's loss dropped their record down to 10-20. As for Ramona, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-17 record this season.

Valley Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Health Sciences on the 6th. As for Ramona, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 win against La Jolla Country Day on the 7th.
