Basketball Recap: Yerba Buena Gets the Win

Yerba Buena hadn't done well against Overfelt recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors managed a 47-43 win over the Overfelt Royals. This was a revenge game for the Aztec Warriors: when they faced off against the Royals on January 3rd, they had to take a 48-36 loss.

It was another big night for Brandon Tran, who posted 31 points. Thien Nguyen was another key player, putting up six points.

Yerba Buena's victory bumped their record up to 2-17. As for Overfelt, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Yerba Buena will look to defend their home court on Friday against James Lick at 7:00 p.m. Overfelt has already played their next contest (against San Jose), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
