Basketball Recap: Veritas Prep Takes a Loss

Veritas Prep won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They took a blow against the Specially Fit Academy Rams, falling 78-50. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Falcons came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 110th in Arizona, while the Rams are ranked 363rd in Florida).

Veritas Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Specially Fit Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Veritas Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fountain Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Specially Fit Academy, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Victory Rock Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
