Soccer Game Preview: Morris vs. Streator/Woodland

Morris will square off against the Streator/Woodland Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Morris has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 13.

Morris managed to keep up with Sycamore until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Morris came up short against Sycamore, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, Morris can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 427th, while Sycamore is ranked 113th).

Morris' goal came courtesy of Xander Braun, who's now up to seven this season.

Meanwhile, Streator/Woodland didn't have quite enough to beat Monmouth-Roseville on Thursday and fell 2-1.

Streator/Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Morris, their loss dropped their record down to 1-19.

Morris was able to grind out a solid victory over Streator/Woodland in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Does Morris have another victory up their sleeve, or will Streator/Woodland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
