Basketball Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for Akron

Akron lost to Byers back in February of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Akron Rams walked away with a 40-33 win over the Byers Bulldogs.

Byers' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Quincy Eacret, who posted 12 points and three steals, and Aj Engle, who put up six points and four steals. Engle is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played.

Akron pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Byers, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.

Looking ahead, Akron will take on Merino at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Byers, they have already played their next contest, a 50-36 loss against Stratton on the 8th.
