Recap: Springville Red Devils vs. Spanish Fork Dons
The Springville Red Devils lost against the Spanish Fork Dons back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Springville fell 44-33 to Spanish Fork. Springville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Springville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bella Esplin, who scored 12 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynn Johnson, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Springville's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Spanish Fork, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.
Springville will take on Maple Mountain at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Maple Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for Spanish Fork, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-48 win vs. Wasatch on the 9th.
