It was a good run, but Lamar County unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the West Laurens Raiders by a score of 2-1. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Raiders when the teams met back in August of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lamar County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for West Laurens, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.

Lamar County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Northside on the 28th. As for West Laurens, they are taking a road trip to face off against Upson-Lee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Raiders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
