Basketball Recap: Parkdale Takes a Loss

Parkdale lost against Flowers back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Parkdale Panthers were beaten by the Flowers Jaguars 91-55. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-26.

Jacob Wilson and EJ Healey certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Wilson posted ten points, while Healey earned ten points. Healey is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

It was another big night for Tyrell Bowles, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 boards for Flowers. Bowles has been hot, having posted ten or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Israel Johnson, who went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points.

Parkdale has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Flowers, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Parkdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 87-51 defeat against Laurel on the 28th. As for Flowers, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 91-49 win against Bladensburg on the 28th.
