Baseball Recap: Erskine Academy Takes a Loss

Erskine Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lawrence Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 8-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Erskine Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Ulmer, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Ulmer has launched this season.

Erskine Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lawrence, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Erskine Academy will challenge Nokomis at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lawrence, they will face off against Cony at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
