Soccer Game Preview: Ocoee vs. Lake Minneola + How To Watch

The Ocoee Knights and the Lake Minneola Hawks will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ocoee's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Ocoee's tournament run continued when they took on Timber Creek on Tuesday. The Knights won by a goal and slipped past Wolves 2-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Ocoee's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Timber Creek are ranked 171st).

Meanwhile, Lake Minneola didn't have quite enough to beat East Ridge on Tuesday and fell 2-1. Lake Minneola have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Ocoee pushed their record up to 8-0-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those five matches. As for Lake Minneola, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-3.

Everything went Ocoee's way against Lake Minneola when the teams last played back in December of 2022, as Ocoee made off with a 4-1 win. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
