Volleyball Recap: Jasper Eagles vs. Drexel Bobcats

After flying high against Greenfield last Tuesday, Jasper came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Drexel Bobcats by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Jasper started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 20-25, 25-9, 25-14, 25-8.

Aspen Lehman paced Jasper's offense, picking up 11 kills. Lehman were helped by Brenlly Roberts and Calley Helms, who contributed 11 assists each. Haidyn Omart and Chloe Storm kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Drexel, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jasper will host Archie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Drexel, they will square off against Osceola at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
