Basketball Game Preview: Castleberry Lions vs. Lake Worth Bullfrogs

Castleberry is 2-8 against Lake Worth since December of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Castleberry Lions will head out to square off against the Lake Worth Bullfrogs at 6:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Castleberry is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Friday. They were beaten by Burkburnett 78-21. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1335th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 159th).

Meanwhile, Lake Worth played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Bridgeport and fell 93-30. The Bullfrogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-18.

Castleberry's defeat dropped their record down to 6-24. As for Lake Worth, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-16 record this season.

Castleberry was taken down by Lake Worth 46-19 in their previous matchup back in January. Can Castleberry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
