Baseball Recap: Mercer Island Islanders vs. Gig Harbor Tides

With a playoff game on the line, Mercer Island rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Gig Harbor Tides as they made off with a 13-1 win. Mercer Island's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Tyler Gilroy was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Gilroy was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, a stolen base, and a run.
