Basketball Recap: Seven Straight Home Victories for Pottsville

There's no place like home for Pottsville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mahanoy Area Golden Bears 36-34. This was a revenge game for the Crimson Tide: when they faced off against the Golden Bears back in January, they had to take a 62-47 loss.

Derek Watkins was the offensive standout of the game as he posted nine points.

When it comes to explaining why Mahanoy Area lost on Friday, don't look at Jace Yedsena. Despite the final result, he put up 15 points and eight rebounds.
