Volleyball Recap: Rafael Dan Bartilad Key Part of Team Effort in Vikings Win

Niles North won the last time they faced Nazareth Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Vikings walked away with a 2-0 win over the Roadrunners.

Niles North's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rafael dan Bartilad led the charge by getting seven digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Bartilad a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Horia Beca, who had 15 assists and four digs.

Niles North is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Nazareth Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Coincidentally, Niles North and Nazareth Academy will both be playing Lincoln-Way Central the next time they take the court. The Roadrunners will head out to face the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
