Volleyball Recap: Lowcountry Prep Takes a Loss

Lowcountry Prep lost against Emmanuel Christian on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Lowcountry Prep fell 2-0 to Emmanuel Christian.

Emmanuel Christian found their leader in sophomore Addyson Matthews, who had six digs and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Matthews. Megan Butler was another key player, getting seven digs and three aces.

Lowcountry Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Emmanuel Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0-1.

Lowcountry Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Southeastern Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on September 11. As for Emmanuel Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Northside Christian School on the 16th.
