Mound-Westonka put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 60-50 win over the Watertown-Mayer Royals. Given the White Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Royals are ranked 37th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mound-Westonka pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Watertown-Mayer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Mound-Westonka and Duluth East will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Watertown-Mayer will take on Central in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Watertown-Mayer likes a good challenge.
