Baseball Recap: Trinity Academy Knights vs. Fredonia/Elk Valley
Trinity Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let Fredonia/Elk Valley onto the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Thursday. Trinity Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.
Matt Omundsen looked comfortable as he pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Luke Myles and Jackson Witt did most of the damage at the plate: Myles scored two runs while going 1-for-2, while Witt scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Nolan Willson was another key contributor, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
The win (which was Trinity Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 18-4.
As of now, neither they nor Fredonia/Elk Valley have any future games scheduled.
