Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, North Royalton couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Perry Panthers by a score of 66-63 on Sunday. The Bears' defeat signaled the end of their 24-game winning streak.

Perry's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Preston Dazey, who shot 58% from the field on his way to 18 points and eight boards. Those eight rebounds gave Dazey a new career-high. Luke Wolf was another key player, going 6-for-12 en route to 18 points along with seven boards and three steals.

North Royalton's loss dropped their record down to 25-2. As for Perry, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-13 record this season.

North Royalton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Perry, they will take on Westerville North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Westerville North sitting on 22 straight victories and Perry on five.
