Basketball Recap: Joel Danquah Key Part of Team Effort in Patriots Win

Friendly won the last time they faced Central and things went their way on Thursday too. The Friendly Patriots came out on top in a nail-biter against the Central Falcons, sneaking past 66-64.

Friendly's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joel Danquah, who went 8-for-16 to rack up 23 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Those 23 points gave Danquah a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Xavier Brewer, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Central's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quincy Taylor ll, who posted 17 points. Ezra Jackson was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Friendly's record now sits at 5-15. As for Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
