Soccer Game Preview: Laredo LBJ vs. Medina Valley

The Laredo LBJ Wolves will venture away from home to take on the Medina Valley Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Laredo LBJ has struggled recently with eight defeats in a row, while Medina Valley will arrive with 11 straight wins.

Laredo LBJ managed to keep up with Del Rio until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Laredo LBJ came up short against Del Rio, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Medina Valley's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They never let Eagle Pass get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Give the Panthers' defense some credit: that's the team's 11th straight shutout.

Medina Valley pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four contests. As for Laredo LBJ, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Laredo LBJ suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Medina Valley in their previous meeting back in January. Can Laredo LBJ avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
