Basketball Recap: Hartford Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hartford lost to Arrowhead back in February of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The contest between the Orioles and the Warhawks didn't end well, with the Orioles falling 87-69. While losing is never fun, the Orioles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Warhawks are ranked first).

Despite the loss, Hartford still got an impressive performance from Rita Kuepper, who shot 64% from beyond the arc to rack up 39 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Klages, who posted 15 points.

Natalie Kussow had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a double-double with 34 points and 12 boards for Arrowhead. Kussow is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 21 games she's played dating back to last season. Karina Klemz was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Hartford's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Arrowhead, they pushed their record up to 12-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Hartford will head out to take on Homestead at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Orioles will be up against the Highlanders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.53 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Arrowhead, they will host Muskego at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
