Football Game Preview: Grass Lake Warriors vs. Manchester Flying Dutchmen

The Grass Lake Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Manchester Flying Dutchmen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grass Lake has given up an average of 36.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 46-12, which was the final score in Grass Lake's tilt against Michigan Center on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Manchester was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Brandywine 54-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Flying Dutchmen.

Grass Lake better keep an eye on Walter Ahrens. He was instrumental in Manchester's win, rushing for 92 yards and one score on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing yards Ahrens has posted since back in October of 2024.

Grass Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Manchester, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
