Volleyball Recap: Kansas School for the Deaf Comes Up Short

Kansas School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Eagle Heights Christian Eagles. The Jackrabbits were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 26-24, 27-25.

Allie Brown paced Kansas School for the Deaf's offense, picking up four kills. Brown got some help from Sophia D'Angelo and her 11 assists. Jadaella Jeffery controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Kansas School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Eagle Heights Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kansas School for the Deaf will challenge Iowa School for the Deaf at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Eagle Heights Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Training Center Christian at 5:30 p.m. on October 7.
