Recap: Doctors Charter Hawks vs. Horeb Christian Mustangs
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Doctors Charter Hawks, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 56-54. Doctors Charter just can't catch a break and has now endured four losses in a row.
Horeb Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Wilson, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ifeanyi Ezeala, who scored 15 points.
Doctors Charter has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Horeb Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-17.
Doctors Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Horeb Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sagemont on February 6th. Horeb Christian is coming into the contest with nine straight wins on the road, meaning Sagemont will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
