Basketball Game Preview: Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Dolphins vs. Cape Cod Academy Seahawks

The Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Dolphins are taking a road trip to challenge the Cape Cod Academy Seahawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cape Cod Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Dennis-Yarmouth Regional didn't have too much trouble with Wareham as they won 93-79.

Meanwhile, Cape Cod Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cape Cod RVT on Friday. While the Seahawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Crusaders 11-6 in the first quarter.

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional will have to keep a close watch on Harrison Lauf and Mike Berry, a pair of players who had a big impact on Cape Cod Academy's prior game. Lauf posted 21 points and three steals, while Berry dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Lauf a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anderson Lauf, who had three points and three steals.

Everything came up roses for Dennis-Yarmouth Regional against Cape Cod Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured an 88-42 victory. In that matchup, Dennis-Yarmouth Regional amassed a halftime lead of 45-23, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
