Softball Game Preview: Handley Tigers vs. Reeltown Rebels

The Handley Tigers will challenge the Reeltown Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither Handley nor Reeltown posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Handley is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 28th on Friday. They lost 11-1 to Glenwood. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Handley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aleah Wilson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Reeltown fell victim to Beulah and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. The game marked the first time this season in which the Rebels were not able to get on the board.

Handley's loss dropped their record down to 13-12-1. As for Reeltown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Handley took their victory against Reeltown in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 10-1 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
