Basketball Recap: Clover's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Clover put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Palisades Pumas 48-34.

Leading Clover to victory were Rico Hickman and Jayden Parks. Hickman went 7-for-16 to rack up 16 points and seven boards, while Parks shot 42% from the field on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. Hickman is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Clover was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palisades only racked up three.

Despite the defeat, Palisades had strong showings from Brighton Lester, who posted 19 points and six boards, and Noah Hunter, who earned no points.

Clover's record now sits at 4-0. As for Palisades, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Clover didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-46 loss against Victory Christian Center on the 6th. As for Palisades, they will face off against Independence at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pumas' defense better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 68 points per game this season.
