Softball Game Preview: Richland Rams vs. Windber Ramblers

The Richland Rams will venture away from home to face off against the Windber Ramblers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Richland came up short against Philipsburg-Osceola on Friday, falling 10-1.

Richland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elle Ladika, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Windber's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 10-1 to Berlin Brothersvalley. The contest marked the Ramblers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Windber suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 9-3. As for Richland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Richland couldn't quite get it done against Windber in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 as they fell 10-6. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
